For all you men out there, we have organised a trip to North Wales in early May, to have a crack at climbing Snowdon!
We'll be departing Blandford mid-morning on Sat 3rd May, returning on the evening of Bank Holiday Monday 5th May.
We’ve booked accommodation in a bunkhouse at £20 per person for two nights (3rd and 4th May), and once fuel and food are factored in we estimate that the total cost per person will be about £50, but this might be subject to slight change.
There would be an option of going up and/or down Snowdon by train if you don’t fancy the walk (please go online to check ticket prices) but this would be at your own personal extra expense. We will be exploring the idea of doing something extra on the Monday morning before returning home. This would be an opt-in/out activity and again may involve some extra cost. Climbing Wales’ highest mountain is no small feat, so we will be arranging a couple of opt- in/out training activities in the coming weeks (walks, bike rides...) to boost fitness levels prior to the trip, as well as arranging an evening together to talk about how to prepare.
We have 16 places available so if you would like to come, please speak to Aaron Rigby or Chris Shaw. A £20 non-refundable deposit will secure your place.
Really hope you can join us for what will be a great weekend.
Many thanks, Aaron and Chris
